Their Story
Sonja has been learning, researching, practising, and teaching about how to have conversations in ways that can be most helpful to people in their lives.
She notices how conversations guided by Narrative and Invitational therapy can undermine harmful problems and their effects. She is a Family and Relationship counsellor with experience in non-government agencies and community settings, providing Specialised Family Violence Counselling and Counselling around Childhood Sexual Abuse and Sexual Assault survivors.
Sonja has authored several papers in the field and is on the Editorial board of the Australian and New Zealand Family Therapy Journal. Australian & New Zealand Journal of Family Therapy
Therapeutic Approach
Registered PACFA clinical counsellor, AAFT family therapist, and is a member of the Social Psychologists Society. Sonja specialises in Family Law Counselling, accountability and ethical transformation. Private health insurance and Home Care Package rebates available.
